Where Wellness & Social Justice Intersect
About Christa Janine
Christa Janine, 500hr E-RYT, is currently an instructor for Alo Moves and Pop Sugar Wellness. She is a health and wellness professional who has been teaching yoga since 2012. Since then she has launched a successful virtual fitness studio, a life coaching business, conducts workshops for yoga study and business, and collaborates with various brands such as Alo Yoga & lululemon. Christa Janine most recently spoke on a NYFW panel discussing the importance of "Mindfulness in Fashion" during the September 2022 week of events.
As a life coach, Christa helps women heal from their past trauma and establish a self-designed narrative for their lives. As a yoga instructor & a digital fitness coach her main focus through social media (110K+ followers across platforms), and business overall, is to encourage & empower others to live their most authentic lives by creating their own narrative for their futures.
Additionally, Christa has navigated the yoga and fitness industry for over 10 years in many markets throughout North America and discovered a lack of diversity and inclusion. She experienced not only herself but fellow BIPOC being passed over for promotions, class times, and formats and being questioned about their teaching experience from students. Identifying as a change agent and an individual who believes in equality in all spaces, she now focuses energy on educating individuals and companies on the importance of Diversity & Inclusion in the yoga and fitness space.
"We invited Christa to lead a virtual meditation for a high-potential leadership program. I was impressed by Christa’s thoughtfulness to craft a meditation that was so related to our programming themes. Her guided meditation connected to themes of leading with courage, bringing energy and reflection for our participants. Bringing Christina on to lead this “power boost” was the perfect way to end our session on intentional leadership."
