“Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all achievement.” #WClementStone This weekend I experienced a whirlwind of emotions, not only was I blessed with the opportunity to teach at my first yoga festival, but I was also able to coach my son’s soccer team to another victory and celebrate with my teacher trainees as they wrapped up their final program. Over the past few months I’ve been drawn more and more to the desire to hold space for others, and provide a safe haven for them to grow and evolve holistically. This past weekend was confirmation that this is indeed my overall purpose in life. The fulfillment I receive from helping others discover new aspects of themselves, or let go of the inhibitions they once held onto so dearly, is priceless. In the last quarter of 2019 I’m leaning into this aspect of my life, and carving out ways to hold space for others on various levels. I’ve fought back this aspect of my life for years. I’ve convinced myself that no one would dare listen to me, but what I’m learning is some people will listen and others won’t. However, that doesn’t change the gifts I have or my purpose in life. Today I encourage you all to let go of your fears, negative self-talk, and inhibitions. Ask yourself if no one else cared or could deter you, what would you be doing in your life right now?
